Service life

Ease of use

Hygiene

As clean as a whistle. KaVo instruments can be washed (in a Miele thermodinsinfector) and sterilised at up to 135°C in autoclaves.

Micro water filter

Completely reliable. The replaceable micro water filter in the spray channel guarantees permanently effective and disruption-free spray cooling.

Non-return valves

Clean head. The automatic non-return valves, which are part of KaVo’s unique hygienic design, effectively prevent contaminated dirt and particles from penetrating the head casing.

Pressure regulator

Always one step ahead. When the drive pressure is too high, the integrated pressure control automatically reduces it to the optimal level of 2.6 bar.

It is well known that stress and noise can cause a significant amount of health damage. With the new premium turbine GENTLEsilence 8000, we have even managed to outdo ourselves. or to put it another way, they’ve undercut themselves. Frequency peaks, which are particularly uncomfortable on the ears, have been reduced to the bare minimum by using the best quality materials, state-of-the-art bedding technology and a rotor disk with excellent concentric precision. We have also succeeding in reducing sound intensity to an all-time low of 57dB(A).

You will notice the difference straight away. The usual "turbine noise" is virtually non-existent. The new KaVo GENTLEsilence 8000 is therefore making a major contribution to the health and well-being of both the practice team and the patients.

Operating noise: Noise intensity + frequency

Noise intensity (volume) is measured in decibels dB(A); EN ISO 7785-1 sets down the permissible parameters for this measurement for turbines (e.g.: measurement distance 45cm). Only measurements that are carried out in compliance with these stipulations can be compared objectively. Rule of thumb: The human ear experiences an 8-10 dB sound intensity increase as a one hundred percent increase in volume.

 

Frequency (pitch) is measured in Hertz (Hz) and refers to the frequency of vibrations (rise and fall of noise intensity) per second. A constant frequency-response curve is much more bearable than a curve with considerable frequency peaks.
