eXam X-ray system _Dig eXam > Description
Digital radiography with Dig eXam
- Innovative CMOS sensor technology ensures very little noise and very high resolution:
- Special luminescent layer fibreoptics.
- Pixel size 18.5 µm.
- Theoretical resolution 27 LP/mm.
- System resolution with test object up to 18 LP/mm is more suitable for the practice.
- No quality-reducing pixel binning necessary.
- Very simple data transfer via USB: no susceptible battery or other external power supply necessary.
- Problem-free installation without TCP/IP settings.
- Small, convenient housing of the Dig eXam trigger.
- Mobile solution integrated in In eXam or ideally integrated in the practice network.
- Dig eXam interface with following additional functions:
- Integration of one Dig eXam sensor in In eXam possible.
- Sensor automatically ready for recording on triggering of X-rays.
- Almost all intraoral X-ray units can be combined with the KaVo Dig eXam sensor and the Dig eXam software.

* The image can be assigned to a patient later on.
The benefits:
- Activation of the software to make it ready for recording is superfluous.
- Multiple recordings/status recordings: assistant does not "circulate" between patient and PC/software and trigger.
- Time saving.
- Optimum work sequence.
- Minimisation of errors since there are fewer processing steps.
- Therefore fewer repeat recordings/no additional radiation exposure
- Eye contact with the patient is ensured during the entire work sequence!
Advantages of digital X-ray technology
- Immediate X-ray findings.
- Low dose, dose reduction up to 90%.
- Fast access to all relevant patient data.
- Data security and consistency of data.
- Paperless documentation.
- Space saving (no darkroom).
- Supports environmental protection (no chemicals, no disposal).
